My Coffee My Way

6 Jun

I used to be like most of you and stopped at local coffee shop a.k.a. Coffee Toffee or Mayasari or Starbucks regularly. Even at work, I would be the first to grab my cup of crappy coffee. Yes, it was horrible, but it was pretty cheap.

Then I became intrigued at the prospect brewing my own coffee at home, in lieu of stopping to buy it, or drinking the free concoction at work. One day, one of my church friends briefed me how to simply froth milk for cappucinos and I was kinda surprise to see if what you really like about a cappuccino is the frothy topping, you can easily whip up milk without a device designed for just that purpose but use the shaker instead haha, and voila.

I haven’t actually worked the numbers yet but I’m definitely saving money by brewing my own coffee and frothing the milk each day. I feel like I’m doing something special for myself and look forward to trying out the new brands of coffee. To be honest, it secretly bothered me that I was stopping at the coffee shop each day, shelling out good money for an inferior product. I did it out of convenience, but I’m finding that brewing my own coffee is more convenient and better for me.
